French Summer School Gaeltacht and Euro Languages
Scholarships
Ecole d’été Plein Soleil runs for a two week
period in July and is aimed at students County Cavan V.E.C. provides a number of

Objectives of the French Summer School are:
Study Skills/Motivational
Developing oral fluency Seminars
Revising basic grammatical structures The development of effective study skills and
learning styles is critical to ensuring that
Rehearsing for oral and aural examinations each student maximises his/her potential.
We provide seminars each term in both areas.
Preparing for written examinations The skills acquired are enhanced by the
provision of after school supervised study.
K.E.Y. and L.E.T Programmes
A number of junior and transition year
students are chosen each year to participate
in the K.E.Y and L.E.T programme: A cross
border/cross cultural initiative aimed at
developing enterprise skills as a vehicle for
personal development.
Students attend four residential camps where
they participate in workshops and complete
modules focussed on building motivation and
confidence, career planning skills, interview
skills and entrepreneurship. Outdoor activities
also form an integral part of teambuilding
exercises.
